Perez under pressure

Sergio Perez has been linked with a financial penalty at Red Bull F1 racing after his recent poor form.

The Mexican driver has struggled to match the pace of his teammate Max Verstappen this season, and has only finished in the top 10 once in the last five races.

This has led to speculation that Red Bull may be looking to replace him with a more experienced driver, such as Sebastian Vettel or Nico Hulkenberg.

According to reports, Perez could be fined up to £1 million if he does not improve his performance in the next few races.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner has refused to comment on the rumours, but he did admit that Perez is under pressure to perform.

"Sergio knows that he needs to start delivering," Horner said. "He's got a point to prove."

Perez will be looking to put his recent struggles behind him when he takes to the track for the French Grand Prix this weekend.
